——從《喬家大院》看「計利當計天下利」的益處

為了開拓商機，喬致庸曾親率駱駝商隊進入沙漠，將茶葉成功售出。回程考慮到大量貨銀攜帶不便，於是便將銀兩全部換成銀票。過程中，喬致庸體會到使用銀票的便利性與快捷性，於是毅然決定於北京開設票號，喊出「匯通天下，貨通天下」口號，希望能藉由便利的銀票流通，進一步帶動整體商業貿易的興盛與繁榮。然而這樣極富遠見的理想，卻遭到同行傾軋及朝廷禁令打壓。直到1900年八國聯軍攻佔京城，喬致庸為救國救民，帶頭給朝廷捐款。而慈禧太后在逃難之際，各省官銀皆無法順利解送，用錢不便，這才了解到匯通銀票的便利性，於是終於解除票號不得涉足官銀的禁令。此後，喬家票號大德通生意蒸蒸日上，喬致庸畢生所盼「匯通天下」的願景也終於得以實現。

《易經‧損卦》上九爻辭：「弗損益之，无咎，貞吉。」經商最看重的是「損益」，而在《易經》裡，「損卦」與「益卦」互為綜卦，兩者是經常放在一起思考的。損卦的上九，即將由損入益，已經不需再減損，又能施益於下，所以說「弗損益之」，可以大大施展有益於民的抱負。關於「利」，中國人有一套獨到的見解。古代商賈的經營理念是「利他」——做任何事之前，先考量的不是「自利」，而是「利人」。只要對大家都有利，你的利就跑不掉；眾人得利，自己必然托福；你不利人，休想利己。而《孫子兵法》裡的利害思考，談的也是「計利當計天下利」，用現代話講就是「把餅做大」。這不是道德，而是智慧。當天下人都因為你的規畫而得利時，你豈能沒有利益？
